Roger Billings, Attorney
In advising and serving the needs of his clients in the areas of estate planning, trust administration and business planning, Roger Billings draws on over 25 years of experience in estates, business and commercial law.
Mr. Billings has served his clients as to a broad range of estate planning and business planning needs, including: creating Living Trusts and wills; Probating estates; Probate and Trust litigation; Conservatorships; advising family owned businesses on corporate and succession planning; creating Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts (or ILIT’s); terminating irrevocable trusts; and forming corporations and LLCs. Mr. Billings has frequently lectured throughout Northern California on estate planning and probate topics, including continuing education seminars for other attorneys.
Prior to opening the Law Office of Roger Billings in 2004, Mr. Billings practiced with the Sacramento law firms of Lewis & Bacon and Hansen, Boyd, Culhane & Watson. Prior to relocating to Sacramento, Mr. Billings practiced in Los Angeles at the firm of Lewis D’Amato Brisbois & Bisgaard.
Mr. Billings obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University School of Law in New York City, and he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Throughout his career, Mr. Billings has been committed to community involvement, from coaching youth soccer, to Rotary, to the BSA. Among many scouting responsibilities he has been a Scoutmaster, Committee Chair, Unit Commissioner, and a District and Council Committee member. He is a member of the following: the Roseville Chamber of Commerce; the Estate Planning sections of the California Bar and the Sacramento Bar Association; and the Placer County Bar Association. He is a member and past chair of the Board of the Sacramento J. Reuben Clark Law Society.
Having traveled widely, Mr. Billings speaks Spanish, Portuguese and French. He resides in Placer County with his wife, children, and their two dogs.
